the only reason mine whines so loudly is because I didn;t set it up. i bought the rear done and just put it in the car. i should have taken it apart and checked it, but i didn;t, so now i'm paying for it now. The guy that did the rear set it up half ass b/c it was to be put in a drag car. I tried to fix it by setting the pinion depth where it was supposed to be and it made it worse.
i put a 3.42 posi in my 86 Cutlass and its quiet as can be.
