most "rescues" are in it for the money.. they may claim "no profit" but that doesn't mean the owners aren't making a great salary. but bc its part of the cost of business they can claim non profit. darcy

The person I got her from was a breeder and rescue. She bought Lily last year as a puppy but said at 4 lbs she was to small to breed. She had paid 425 for her and then got her spayed and utd on shots. Lily is the sweetest little thing and brings me so much joy. :) Corrie Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry -----Original Message----- From: Deanna Corey <[email protected]> Sender: [email protected] Date: Fri, 13 Aug 2010 17:49:43 To: <[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Chihuahuas] (unknown) Well I would certainly agree that $300 is just plain NUTS!!!!!! Why would anyone do that when you can get a sweet little puppy with decent breeding for less????? Crazy!!!! It amazes me when some of these rescues ask $500 or more to "adopt" one of their precious babies...just makes no sense at all!!!! Makes me question thier real motives!!!!!!
