I could not reproduce this specific issue. Can you help us by trying a few more steps as described below and giving additional information? - First try a recent build of Chromium. Since Chromium and Google Chrome get installed in different directories you will not need to uninstall or change your current Google Chrome installation. Download Chromium from here - http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/continuous/LATEST/. Install it. Set it as default browser and test if links from live messenger open in Chromium.
