Trust me Andrew, there ARE lady engineers out there. Of the three network engineers in 
my department only one is male. :-)

As for the shortage of women in the field.... Networking does require a certain 
ability to wrap your head around corners that aren't there and I haven't met all that 
many women who are WILLING to go to the mental effort. They've been taught from 
childhood that they don't HAVE to use their heads. I'll probably catch all kinds of 
hell for that one but I'm just stating what I've seen for myself. I managed to avoid 
that particular trap myself by sheer cussedness. Lucky I guess.
