Yes thanks, been there a few times. Have followed the directions on
Cisco's site a few times. Ive done it three times now and all three times
it does not take the new enable password.

Acutally the Cisco directions are a bit off at the end. They say to wr mem
while still at the config prompt which doesnt work obviously, have to
ctrl-z first.

At any rate I do the wr mem then reload, once I'm at the switch prompt
again I type enable get the password prompt, enter my new enable password
and it gets rejected the usual three times.

Is there some kind of bug that is preventing the new enable password from
being written to the config.text file? I'm using 11.2(8) Enterprise in
this switch which I will upgrade to 12 something eventually.

Thanks,
Keith
