I presume that the 8/16 is flash and memory. If it is then I would say that
you need a good few more routers. Although you do configure a token ring
switch in the lab I have heard that it is a very minimal config on this.
The other switch in use is the cat 5000, so there is no need to have any
more switches but plenty need to have at least another 4 routers. My lab
has 9 routers and on some of the Bootcamp labs that is just enough.

For lab scenarios buy the bootcamp labs there is quite simply no better!

Subject: Comments on my Home Lab! [7:7108]

Hello,

I just bought a home lab today. The equipment in my lab will be as
follows. Does anyone have any input as to the quality of this lab setup?
What would you expand on in the future. Has anyone taken the CCIE lab that
can tell me what they think of this lab and possible scenarios I should run
through with this lab. I will be receiving the items over the next few
days. The lab is as follows:

Cisco 2507 8/16 11.2

Cisco 2501 8/16 11.2

Cisco 4000 M+ 1 token ring,2 serial

Cisco 2924XL-EL

Cisco 5005 catalyst

1 12 port 100 BaseT,1 sup engine

back to back Cables

3 Console kits

Thank you,

JC
