It's the other way around. If you have one area, make it ANYTHING other than 0.0.0.0. Otherwise, if you need to add an area later, the existing area probably isn't optimized as a core, and you'll have to renumber it (and the new user area(s)) to nonzero in order to have a clean area 0.0.0.0.
