The version of IOS I am using is about the same as the lab (how reassuring). I used my old frame relay switch still running and spluttering 11.3 enterprise and it likes it when I type IPX routing a.a.a - do a show run and there she is: ipx routing 000a.000a.000a - like an old faithfull... The question must be simple, what condition causes a router to take the ethernet/token rings's/etc MAC address for the WAN interface, and not the one you manually enter? I just checked, one of the other router's that took the command was also running 12.1(5)T.
