That is approximately what I see with RHEL4 and Solaris 9. For Solaris 8 
and 10 on a fresh start it is about 6 megs. I expect the fresh start has 
a lot to do with the smaller size.

23 meg is not very large. Many versions ago it would grow to half a gig 
at which time my watchdog would restart it.
