Success!!!

Thank you to all for your help. I truly appreciate it. This information
will assist our division going forward with like NAC issues. And to think
that we have had NAC installed since 2006 when if was Perfigo, and this
never came up before.

Dennis- that list of 8 steps is great.

Anyway, what fixed it...

I did not know about the need to re-register the javascript files into the
operating system after I replaced them (per step 8). Christopher helped me
out and explained it offline.

Note, since NAC only runs in 32bit mode, once I registered the two system32
dll's that little NAC Agent pop'd up within in seconds. I re-registered the
64bit dlls for good measure. Further, as you may have guessed, the IE
grey'd out issue was then resolved too.

As FYI, the steps are bellow.

1. Open administrator command prompt.

2. Type *regsvr32 jscript9.dll* and press Enter.

3. You should now get a message that says: “DLLRegisterServer in
jscript.dll succeeded”

4. Repeat for 3 other dll files.

In terms of the SYSWOW64 folder, this is on 64-bit machines and would
relate to the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of IE.

There’s a jscript.dll and jscrip9.dll in the system32 folder and syswow64
folder. You could try registering each of them.

C:\Windows\System32

C:\Windows\SYWWOW64\
