I have only used SVN myself and so don't have any preference regarding Mercurial Vs Git Vs any-other-DVCS-out-there. As I mentioned earlier, I think Clojure should use a *distributed* VCS one day (the sooner the better) but - importantly - that decision isn't relevant to a 1.0 release.
