Jo-Ann, check out Typo3. I looked it over after seeing the umr site (see below) and I think it would fit your bill nicely. The price is right, too.
Best, Don Holeman >>I am wondering if someone from a medium sized college (6,000 students, community college preferred) has any suggestions for a relatively inexpensive, easy to use CMS. As with most CMS, it appeared from my research that they are not very well suited for colleges where many, many people are responsible for their own sites/content. Any advice would be most appreciated. It's the most sophisticated open source CMS I've ever used. We got our 1800+ page Web site (http://www.umr.edu/) finished in only 6 months. It may be a little complicated to get the hang of it at first but it makes up for it in flexibility. :-) ---------------------------- Michelle Heizer Web Developer TEK Development 613 Dover Drive Rolla, Missouri 65401 573-368-4760 [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.tekdevelopment.com On Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at 12:47 PM, Ingmar Schlecht wrote: > I do have tips on how to get started :) > > > - download the testsite > http://lukas.oh-my-god.dk/kasper/3.5b3/testsite-3.5.zip > > only 4 Windows: > - download ImageMagick-4.2.9-nt.zip: http://www.typo3.com/?software > > - download install guide: > http://lukas.oh-my-god.dk/kasper/3.5b3/installing_upgrading.pdf > this document basically describes that you have to do the following to > install it: > (apache or IIS, MySQL and PHP must be allredy installed.
