I've had a passport since I was about 10 years old, so I am not a good example. 
I live on one side of the country and can go to London in about the same time 
as Los Angeles. Rumor has it there are a bunch of people in the middle that can 
go a long way and still be in the USA. Apparently there are countries at the 
top and bottom some people go to as well. I don't think there is one near the 
other side though.
