I had also read of SCS2000 being used as a structural adhesive for skyscraper windows, and also I am pretty sure Lexan. So, As an experiment I glued two pieces of Polycarbonate together with SCS2000, let it sit for a month, and pulled them apart. Unfortunately, it didn’t take a whole lot of effort to do.
Needless to say, I won’t be using that for my next window job. I am wondering if the VHB tape will be a problem with peel. My cabin sides are curved, so the windows will have to be bent slightly to conform to the side of the cabin. I wonder if that will be a problem with the 3/8" thick acrylic trying to return to a flat shape?
