After my tapped 1/4-20 bolts pulled through the tapped boom on my boat. I drilled out the hole, put these in, tightened them up and
re-installed the bolts.  So far so good.

On the LO300 with all the reaching not having a vang was likely a significant problem. Did
you rig a temporary block or anything?
