Have you ever misjudged a wave and fallen 10-20 feet onto the side of the hull or been rail down and had 20 some feet of green water land on you? No way would I ever want hull ports unless maybe the boat was steel. The stress around a hull that flexes at rate A, the frame at rate B, and the glass at rate C - YIKES!
