well i'd love to see a g:line for 1 day for an IP that is abusing on the instance of
1) excessive clonage 2) spamming 3) abusive botnet runner 4) other forms of severe abuse then on the 2nd instance of an abuse, then it gets 2 days, soon enough you will single out the known and repeated abusers and their IP's especially good for those nasty drones, and eventually luckily enough for us these IP's which are abusing will grow day by day (1d, 2d, 3d, 4d, .... etc get my drift?) in g:lines and so their ability to re-abuse is limited and eventually stopped at the front door. flipside ? well you may capture a few innocent people, but hey, having there been a few innocents in the ISP/country/regions bans already in the past? sad to say such is life, I'd rather see 90,000 happy campers and 500 unhappy innocent campers, then 110,000 harassed campers by massive drones and botnet flooding and the like ... but then again .... seems that this won't even happen, but it's a good idea to get stats and regions of these abusers and sooner rather than later perhaps these unresponsive ISP's who don't care much about the type of abuse and traffic going through them, or abuse direct by their customers, will be forced to care due to those *innocent* customers leaving their service because that ISP has been blacklisted so to speak. at the end of the day, ISP's need customers to survive, if they don't have happy campers and they leave over a abuse g:line on an irc network then maybe a better response will be forthcoming from the ISP's. but , then again, how many people have seen the ISP's Admins turn out to be the abusers themselves? , i for one have seen literally hundreds ....
