Thanks @SEZ9 — that's a clean summary and matches what I read as well. Head here is still `678c754a7bd6`, so there's nothing new on the diff side for me to re-check, and my approval from 09-14 still stands. Agreed on the plan: leave this parked until #12311 and #12316 land, then rebase once and get one clean `engine-v2-it` run before merging.
