Thanks @wgzhao for the precise clarification. I checked the current _poll_job_status source: cli.py:1375-1398 treats found:false as immediately terminal, tolerates one status-less/non-dict successful response, and reports a response-shape/failover problem on the second such response before a valid status resets the flag. Transport exceptions neither increment nor reset it. That is distinct from the one-shot diagnose behavior. This answers F2/F4 without another code change; @SEZ9 can verify the listed scripted-response tests during the pending review. My existing approval remains, with current checks green. This is an unchanged-head discussion reply, not another complete source review.
