Just to back this up, I've got HTTP working (from home, I think the proxy server at work stops this though) but the ftp still doesn't work (at home or at work).

I'm still not getting any LastModifiedTime changes even with setting CacheStrategy to ON_CALL. I haven't yet changed my application to use StandardFileSystemManager instead of DefaultFileSystemManager. Would that make a difference though?
