I wasn't the one having the .bin problems...

But yes, this new battery has been tested in two Plusses and neither one 
will keep the date/time between power cycles.

I have a third Plus, but I haven't tried that one yet.  I'm kind of 
scared to.  I should note that only one of the two Plusses I have tried 
thus far was "known good."
