Still no luck after changing options to default-mru. The tail of the log file
follows (However it looks identical to the ones previously posted). What other
log entries do you need? I'd be happy to send them to you. With KPPP not being
installed by default, its going to make alot of people try gnome-ppp first and
thats going probably cause an issue - I use earthlink as an ISP and they are a
pretty major provider, so I imagine quite a few people will be hit by this. On
another note, I did notice when I installed mandrake, and configured networking
on startup, that Gnome-PPP did not pick up the settings I had entered. I had to
reenter all of my ISP data. When I did a urpmi kppp and loaded it, it did pick
up the settings I had entered on installation. Is there a reason for this?

I had to install KPPP to connect to the internet over a modem. Gnome RPM should
either work, or KPPP should be installed by default instead. The following are
