[EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|ASSIGNED |NEEDINFO ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-03-10 06:25 ------- I don't see the line "default-mru" with all the other options in the logs... Are you sure you saved that file before dialing? I need the information from the following files: /var/log/messages, /var/log/daemons/info, /var/log/daemons/errors and /var/log/daemons/warnings. There is an option in pppd to log to a file, we might want to add: logfile /var/log/gnome-ppp To the /etc/ppp/options file. As for your last questions, it seems kppp is very friendly with the existing configuration, it will use /etc/ppp/options file, and will take the users from pap-secrets, etc, while gnome-ppp is badly behaved. I strongly suggest we install kppp by default (5 in rpmsrate), and drop gnome-ppp, even for gnome users. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: NEEDINFO creation_date: description: I had to install KPPP to connect to the internet over a modem. Gnome RPM should either work, or KPPP should be installed by default instead.
