Sorry -- I should have included info on FAA's efforts to update
the Houston Sectional (tower in question is 40 miles NE of
Houston, going up US Hiway 59). Thanks to AOPA, who finally
"got" to the right person, FAA says it could take 2 printing cycles
to get the information corrected, after they confirm it. So, about
a year after I first discovered the problem (and, I assume, so did
thousands of other pilots??) and tried to report it, it might show
up on the sectional. If ANYONE has other towers to report
ANYWHERE, send your info direct to AOPA -- they're more than
willing to help push this along to the right folks and apply constant
pressure.
