After seeing to many bent Ercoupes. Bending one my self. Most Ercoupe accidents happen in the last 50 feet of altitude. Most because someone is to slow and behind the power curve.( If they had power) On just plain to much speed landing. Fewer, But if something goes wrong it is happening in double time. As we talk about air speed, air speed, in truth we are saying control, control. I have flown with many pilots who request no talking as they enter the pattern. Something for us to think about. Warren ========== Michel, I don't have a tremendous amount of time in Coupe's, but, in the time I've been flying mine, I've seen no such adverse trait in my Coupe. The Coupe does have some oddities, most being the result of having no ruddar pedals. A bad landing can happen in any aircraft. Bad landings/pilots are two things that seem to be beyond the control of the aircraft.
