advice in this forum.]----

Weird! I sent several e-mails to coupers last week, and none of them
showed up. Don't know what's going on.
Anyway, the first was in reply to the fuel caps spewing fuel. Mine
did it on the right wing tank. Changed all the gaskets and she still
did it. Upon close examination, I noticed that the rib on the top of
the cap, and which the vent hole comes out the front, was not parallel
to the centerline of the fuselage. Instead, the vent hole was outboard
of center at about the 1:00 O'clock position. If I am careful, and make
certain it is parallel to centerline, it does not spew the fuel. twist
it off center, and the fuel starts to flow.
Second item, is that I'm about to lose my medical. The diabetes
problem is going to cause me more grief than I want, so I'm going to
have to give up the flying for the time being. Thus, 93405 is now for
sale. This is a VERY clean 415-C, with low time engine, and most all
the add-on extras. I'll not bore you with all the details, but suffice
it so say that You couldn't ask for more. Electronics wise, she has a
Nav-Com, and nothing else. She's been in for a very extensive annual,
and is now awaiting a new McCauley prop before being returned to
service. The mechanic who has maintained her for the past 18 months,
and who is doing the annual, has the reputation as the best mechanic at
the Provo, Utah airport. I'll be happy to supply anyone with his phone
number, if you want to see what's been done, and what kind of shape
she's in. Also, contact me and I'll send you a list of extras, and
details.
