>Wonder if any one still has the Automatic Carb heat assy still
operative????

Hey Harry:

There's at least one with the attachments still made. He is on the list,
but I can't remember who. The thing of interest is about his engine is
the life: It is very high time, with no major problems.

I think this high time is due, in part, to the Automatic Carb heat. It
would prevent the "Shock" cooling of the engine when it is powered back.
(Adding carb heat to the engine will heat the fuel/air and prevent the
engine from cooling very quickly).

I pull carb heat whenever I'm decending, with reduced power. My hope is
to keep the temp of the engine up when all the additional air is forced
into the cowl. (It is the cycles from hot to cold that is my biggest
concern).

Would be nice to gather data from the planes with this assy still
operating and compare it to the ones without it. Just to see what the
difference is.

Jack
