I think the answer is obvious...  Don't fly when the temp is 55, dew point
is 50 and the humidity is 85%.  :) :)

During a preflight and flight I had engine icing, even at almost full
throttle. During runup I had to apply carb heat to get my mormal RPM for
mag check. Downwind I applied carb heat and reduced my power and almost
lost the engine. The conditions were: temp 55, dew point 50, humidity
85%. The question is should I have expected carb ice? and how do I prevent
problems in the future?
