The UL crowd has crowed about this for years. The "Sport Pilot"
rating proposal is, IMHO, hung up on exactly this point - self-certify
medical, like gliders and ballooons. Even SP is no reliefe for us -
it's limited to 1200 pounds and the lights `coupes certified at 1260.
