Unless weight & balance calculations have been done accurately by all A & Ps for the past 50 plus years (unlikely), calculated empty weight in the logbook and actual may be way off (as mine was). My '47 with metal wings, dual forks, comm radio, transponder, metal prop, landing lights on struts (minus fuel) weighed 934 lbs. Logbook empty weight was 850.
