Sorry , not related except that had the occasion to be at Kalamazoo last Thursday. ( friend asked me to fly right seat in the Conquest, a ride I'll never turn down) While we were at Duncan Av. getting some adjustments made to the reversers, I noticed "Patty's" plane in the transient hangar. Talk about a Smoooooth finish. WOW!!! I assume she was there for the Airshow this week-end sponsored by the "AirZoo". Went over her aircraft with a seasoned eye, and couldn't find even ONE flaw. Would love to fly it,although would probably have to change my shorts thereafter. Getting back to the Conquest, if you ever have the chance to fly one---take it!! Took left seat coming back,---another WOW!! what a hot rod. My mind was back at the threshold when she was ready to rotate. I had forgotten the power(torque) of turbines, and had to "catch up" fast. Had forgotten my first exposure to turbines, when my instructor (Air Force) told me---"Anticipate-Anticipate-Anticipate--" Fly happy, Doug P.S. Jolly: If you ever get the opportunity to put that "Garrett" in the Coupe, I'd like to be the first to fly it.
