I installed it with MacPorts which is packaging system for Mac OS X. I turns out the solutions was in the script it uses to start and stop the imap server. It was configured by default to only use SSL but the cert wasn't set up properly. I didn't need the SSL so I just tweaked the script to not use it. While "McIntosh" systems are not set up like Redhat they are very solid UNIX distributions. I would only say that all bets are off for figuring it out if you are somewhat below the level of your average normally gifted human. It is different but is all laid out very intelligently. I am sorry if you have struggled with it in the past. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
