Citizen Space has been operating since 2006 on the premise that we give all
paying desk members a key and access whenever (24/7) and we'll just trust
that this will work. The only stipulation is that they don't give the key
over to someone else who isn't a paying member and that they lock up before
they leave.

Four years later there have been no major incidents. I think pens go missing
periodically and people forget to clean up their messes here and there. But
otherwise, trust has worked as security.

We have lockers now, too. But they aren't really used.
