This has been a problem ever since CSGO launched. They managed to effectively break a 15 year old server browser. That outside of previous issues in 1.6 had been working effectively to crawl, return and sort all servers to anyone who browsed the list.
They push the workshop so hard but the fun for me of CSS was cool custom maps with a mix of official maps. The inability to host a community server with good community maps that people can find in a lot of ways I feel defeats the purpose of the workshop and community maps. Outside of people voting on cool stuff for future operations. I'm a relatively new server operator. I had two servers up and I had to close one down because nobody can find it. I have to tell every single person the ip if I want them to play on it. It's just not in the server browser, not even when I search for the exact name. Pretty ridiculous. Start a server, pay the money to run it, spend hours setting everything up, finally get it working... no one can find it.
