When Opera 11.51 opens these pages, the H1/H2 headline is
bigger/fatter and breaks whereas all other browsers (Even pesky win
IE6) don't do this to my type.
Opera also does weird things with the menu at the left, where "next
in project" gets so large it takes up 2 lines.
If you are viewing the pages in a Mac the fonts in all browsers, not
just Opera, will appear denser. Regardless of whether you are viewing
the page in Mac Opera or Windows Opera you probably have a setting in
Opera's preferences incorrectly set for viewing your particular pages in
that browser that may be causing the issue you wrote about.
If you are on a Mac the access to Opera Preferences is:
Opera>Preferences>Webpages>Page Zoom [set this to 100] >Fit to Width [
make sure this box is not checked ] >Close the Opera browser> Re-open
the Opera browser and view your pages.
If you are on a PC the access to Opera Preferences may be slightly
different than on a Mac but the procedure will be similar to above...
And if you want to correct the problem cross operating systems/browsers
-- and for those who have a minimum font-size set in their browser
settings -- you'll need to re-think the width and positioning of the
menu, the h1 and h2 headlines, and the content block. In plain English,
give up trying to hold the flush-left drop-line from your name in the
header [and stop trying to cram 5 pounds of apples(your menu) into a 3
pound bag].

The star hack for IE should have a space between the star and html if
you want it to work.
This:
*html #container { height: 100%;}
Becomes this:
* html #container { height: 100%;}
