The Madison County Library does not use county funds for entertainment. Our
local friends group covers the cost of performers, as it is community
outreach or good public relations for the library. The library is a place
for children and adults and all that we can do to encourage them to come
into the library and experience a fun, memorable time will only help them to
become "regulars" after the parties and shows are over. We also have an
ongoing used book table in our entryway. We sell books for 50 cents and 25
cents and by the time summer reading rolls around, we have $200 - $250 to
spend on a performer or prizes for our program.

Good luck,
Madison Co. Library
