I will not back off. One of the major ways a culture is changed is thru the
desensitization process. No one leaps into degenerate behavior without being
desensitized one step at a time. People who would corrupt others are very
skilled at moving them along step by step.
So all of you who have no problem reading a detailed description of a sexual
act with a child, what are you going to do about it now that you know the
details. Probably not a thing. Make a contribution to a group fighting
child porn? Write a letter somewhere? Report someone on the web who is
sending out child porn? Condemn NAMBLA? No. You can't even take a stand
against child porn anonymously on a board such as this. You will sit back
and pat yourselves on the back for being non-judgmental about one who posts
child pornography on a public site such as this.
This is not only about child porn. It's how we've become desensitized to all
manner of cruelty and violence on a personal level, only getting upset when
the crowd leaders tell us it is time to act.
