Detroit, stripped of it's industry, then, over decades, the industrial
workers, has been techie hipster gentrified. It didn't 'kick the
bucket'. It a classic example of what hipsters and yuppies are known for
writ large

And fwiw they don't care where you go, just as long as you go away.

Because they don't believe in paying taxes, paying for their google
buses use of municipal bus stops, city services in general, and they
CERTAINLY don't believe in affordable housing.
