Agree with you. And the feature in RawTherapee helps me see where the
picture are sharp in the development process. It do not show the original
sharpness just the current sharpness. It's a button in the development
module you can switch on or off a mask when needed.

But how do you want it implemented? Do you want to show where it
original was sharp (like the picture you showed) or do you want to show
it like RawTherapee do?
