But I still don't understand why I would ever want to do this. When I'm taking an image I'm concerned with what is in focus and depth of field and a selectable focus point is one tool sometimes useful to achieve that. Yet once I have taken the image I'm only interested in what it looks like and whether it is adequately sharp where it needs to be - what relevance does the selected focus point at the time of taking the shot have? Maybe I'm thick, but I don't see what use this would be - there again don't let me discourage anyone who wants it and is prepared to put the time in to develop it. Rgds, Rob.
