'amdgpu', combined with a few files extracted from 'amdgpu-pro' package to enable OpenCL, does work with Linux 4.8. Your AMD chip needs to be among those supported by amdgpu and amdgpu-pro, of course. -- Šarūnas Burdulis math.dartmouth.edu/~sarunas
