There are tedious things about the cropper even when it's behaving normally,
such as switching back to landscape mode from portrait when selecting a new
aspect ratio, or sometimes shrinking the selection to an absurdly small size
after the same action (although this is less repeatable, for me). I actually
took a good hard look at the code for that module, thinking that even with my
very limited skills, I could create a patch to enhance some of it's behavior,
but I got scared and ran away. It's not quite as hackable as I would have
thought, other than modifying some grids.

My thoughts for other enhancements that seem reasonable for such a primary
module include:

* detect orientation of image, and apply initial aspect ratio selection in same
orientation

* allow for user-adjusted opacity of grids, perhaps as a global "opacity bias"
gui option that could apply to some other line drawing elements as well, such
as the circles in the Spot Removal module, etc.

* an "expand from center" ability when adjusting crop rectangle (unless this
already exists in a way I don't know about)

I wish I could offer more than talking about it... any thoughts?
