To clarify, what I meant by that is the behavior you get in gimp when using the crop or selection tools and have the "Expand from center" box checked - starting a click-and-drag expands the crop border in all directions, maintaining the initial click point as the center. Likewise with dragging an edge or corner of an existing selection. It's sometimes a useful feature, but not as high on my wishlist as the basic workflow enhancing fixes. I suspect this module suffers from being utilitarian and not sexy enough to attract much attention from coders. The workflow issues also probably don't bother someone who spends large amounts of time on artistic processing of a few choice photos.
