Murray: I wonder if the problem is that the OGG encoder is not working. Try running these commands:
Should play track 3: $ gst-launch cdda2wav track=3 ! sunaudiosink Should encode track 3 to a file named /tmp/test.ogg: $ gst-launch cdda2wav track=3 ! vorbisenc name=enc quality=0.5 ! oggmux ! filesink location=/tmp/foo.ogg Play the ogg file: $ gst-launch filesrc location=/tmp/foo.ogg ! decodebin ! audioconvert ! sunaudiosink Do any of those fail? If gst-launch works, then we know the problem is in sound-juicer itself. If it fails, then the problem is likely in the ogg library. Note that the Fluendo plugin is only a MP3 decoder. It is not an encoder, so you can't rip files to MP3 format with the Fluendo plugin.
