  The application is probably set to letter rather than A4. Staroffice 
can change that page setup.

  You should change your print server to OpenSolaris. Printing is 
generally better than Solaris 10.
CUPS version is much newer in OpenSolaris that Solaris 10 as it does not 
has supported version of CUPS.
It only comes on the companion CD.
