(I should perhaps have said "Indiana" rather than "OpenSolaris" there, to make it clear that I was referring only to the desktop environment that will be delivered on the Live CD in May.) That's obviously a key question. Hopefully Glynn can chime in and remind us of the most up-to-date definition of Indiana's target audience, but the phrase I tend to keep in my head is "making Solaris broadly accessible and more familiar to the Linux developer population". (Yes, I know some of you find the L-word offensive in this context, but rest assured I don't want to "turn Solaris into Linux" any more than anyone else here does...)
