Indeed, agreed on all aspects.  Was thinking the same thing last time I 
installed OpenSolaris, on my desktop even, it's too chunky and this I 
typically use the old installer to remove things I surely wouldn't use, 
or would replace anyways.  Sometimes the bundled server apps aren't good 
enough, I hand compile Apache/PHP/MySQL out of habit, and for some 
configurations, although CSK does fine for the most part.
