Realistically I havent come across anything I couldnt play using Fluendo's
GStreamer plugins...the extra codec support you get with VLC and MPlayer,
whilst it is nice, i very "edge case" kind of stuff. I prefer the Gstreamer
approach becasue it itnegrates with the rest of your GStreamer apps not just
the one VLC app.
