Hello everyone...

It’s still early days in this project and the goal of this message is to
give everyone a heads up on the initiative.

At this stage, we’ve been focusing more on our goals for the project,
assembling a team and how we can align the design with our values and
mission. We’re working on more concrete examples of what that might look
like, but, in the meantime ideas on what our ideal end state might include
are listed in the wiki.

Also, Sam’s comment about how this is the next logical iteration of what
we’ve been doing is quite accurate. This initiative aims to build on what
we’ve been doing and align it even more closely with Mozilla’s mission.

We’ll be posting updates with more concrete examples to dev-fxos and the
wiki as the work progresses. In the meantime, if anyone is interested in
getting involved, feel free to reach out to myself or anyone in the team.
