Thanks for the nice designs Daniel! +1 for both ideas and for putting the pencil in first! I also really like the idea of the highlighter and your second sketch. The pencil sketch with the curvy line looks more whimsical and fun, which I like but the highlighter to me is more about annotating and I find its shape really great and recognizable. Maybe you could attach the line in the second sketch to the tip of the highlighter and make the line more wavy or something?
